Privacy policy

1. Who this policy is for
PERUVIAN SOUL is an illustrative website shared by its creator for review and testing. This version has no restaurant operator, assigned street address, or live reservation team. For questions about this demo or its content, contact the person who shared this website with you through your existing conversation.
2. Reservation details and video previews
The reservation form lets you enter a name, email address, date, time, party size, occasion, and optional notes. These details are used in your browser to display a preview. Our website code does not submit them to a restaurant, email service, or database. We do not save them in cookies or browser storage; refreshing the page clears the page's preview state. Your browser may separately offer autofill or restore form entries under its own settings.
Please use sample information when testing. Do not enter sensitive personal, payment, or medical information. A video you select for the hero is played from a local browser object URL; our website code does not upload it. It is released when replaced or when the page closes.
3. Essential storage and cookies
The site uses a browser local-storage entry whose name begins peruvian-soul-consent-v2: (scoped to this website’s path) to remember whether you allow Google Maps and when you made the choice. This entry contains no name, email, or reservation details. It expires in the site's logic after 180 days and can be removed earlier in your browser settings. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice works for the open page and may be requested again later.
The reservation preview uses in-memory timing and frequency checks and a hidden spam trap. These checks reset on refresh. Hosting, authentication, and security providers may use their own necessary cookies or logs. The website's cookie controls do not change hosting sign-in or security settings.
4. Optional Google Maps
The embedded Google map is blocked by default. Only clicking “Accept” on the banner, or selecting Google Maps and clicking “Accept selected” in Cookie settings, loads content from Google. Opening settings, dismissing them, scrolling, or choosing “Essential only” does not give permission. A valid accepted preference is remembered for later visits for up to 180 days. Older consent records are not reused. Google may then receive your IP address, browser details, and interactions, and may use cookies according to its own policies. See Google's privacy policy (opens in a new tab).
You may withdraw permission anytime using Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawing removes the map and prevents this page from loading it again unless you allow it. It cannot erase cookies Google has already placed on its own domains; manage those in your browser. External directions links also take you to Google when you choose to follow them, even if the embedded map is disabled.
5. Hosting, technical information, and external sites
This portfolio version is prepared for hosting through GitHub Pages. Hosting and security infrastructure may process IP addresses, request times, browser information, authentication data, and operational logs to deliver and protect the service. This website's code does not configure or control their retention. See GitHub’s privacy statement (opens in a new tab) for the hosting service context.
Fonts and photographs are served from this site's own assets. This demo does not integrate advertising pixels, analytics trackers, session replay tools, or third-party scripts and has no feature for selling reservation details. Third-party sites you visit through links have their own policies.
6. Your choices and questions
Use Cookie settings to change your map preference. Clear this site's browser storage to remove the saved preference; refresh or close the page to clear its in-memory preview. For questions or an accessibility concern, reply to the person who provided this demo. A verified business contact and the real operator's data-handling policy must be added before this concept becomes a live restaurant service.
7. Changes
If live bookings, analytics, marketing tools, payments, or other data collection are introduced, this policy and the relevant controls must be updated before those features are enabled.
